Beginning of Week 26 (25 weeks 0 days)

This week was marked by our first baby shower.  Jed's wonderful brother and sister-in-law Doug & Maleia hosted a shower for us in Omaha for the multitude of family that we have in that area.  We had a wonderful time making onesies, tasting baby food to guess what it was (which was disgusting by the way), and getting to be around family.  My parents were able to make it up, so it was nice to blend our families together.  We received many awesome gifts and it was wonderful to feel the love that Baby Lake is going to have the minute he/she is born into this world.  The shower was even better because there was awesome cake there, haha!

Nothing much else has changed this week except the ever growing size of my belly.  People can finally tell that I am pregnant most days, which I really enjoy.  The babies hearing is fully developed now, and the baby weighs over a pound and a half.  Hard to believe this baby will be joining us in just 3 1/2 short months.  So much to do before then....!

  2. Good luck on the glucose test - do you have to drink it there? Hope not, it was so nice being able to do it at home and then just go for the blood draw!

  3. Since the baby has full hearing, I'll send you a listing of all the KU websites that have the Rock Chalk chant, cheers, and other fun audible KU-related music. One can never start too early!!!

  4. I refuse to subject my baby to that torture, so you can just save your time and not worry about sending that!
