TP Tuesday - 13 weeks 6 days, end of week 14

Well, I'm honestly getting a little tired of TP Tuesday because I keep not changing size - another week at 9 squares.  I feel like I'm growing, but yet when I measure, I am not growing.....I want to grow, but I know once I start growing, I will want it to slow down, lol!

This week has brought on a little heartburn.  Luckily I am used to having heartburn, so it's not too bad yet; hopefully this is the worst it gets!  We had a Dr's appointment yesterday with my actual OB, so that was nice.  We got answers to lots of questions that we had.  Last time we couldn't find the heartbeat on the dopplar, so I was hoping we would be able to this week.  The dr put the dopplar on the middle of my stomach, heard my heartbeat, then moved the dopplar just a little bit to the side and there was the baby's heartbeat.  It was an awesome sound.  I didn't want to stop listening to it!  The dr estimated that it was in the 140's-150's, which is exactly where it should be.  She said everything seemed to be going great.  My next appointment is Feb 21.  It seems forever away, but I know the time will fly by!

Other than those things, no major updates this week. We have started to try to think about what the decor of the room will be and what we are going to register for.  We got our high chair and car seat registered for, so we have made some definite progress!  So much research to do in order to make sure we are getting the best things we can for Baby Lake that don't cost an arm and a leg!

Nursey decor

Ok, so since Jed and I aren't going to find out the gender of the baby, we have to figure out a decor for the nursery that will be gender neutral.  We have decided on an alphabet/number theme, here are my two favorite so far, opinions please!  We obviously won't be going as crazy with decorations as these two!

TP Tuesday - 12 weeks 6 days, end of week 13

Weird thing happened today, I was only 9 sheets of TP around today, so I lost a 1/4 of a sheet, haha - must have had to do with when during the day I measured the belly - I guess I need to start being more consistent with the time of day.  I really thought I would be growing more by now, which of course makes me nervous, but I just have to trust God!

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the 2nd trimester which I am very excited for.  I am hoping that with the 2nd trimester comes a little less exhaustion, fewer bathroom trips, and less extreme thirst; but considering those are the only major "side effects" I have had with pregnancy, I should feel pretty lucky.

I have been blessed with friends and family that are willing to share their maternity clothes with me!  Luckily I have not had to start wearing any of them yet, but when I do, I will have plenty to choose from.  Next Dr appt is Monday the 24th, so I am anxiously awaiting that!

TP Tuesday - 11 weeks 6 days, end of week 12

As I near the end of my 12th week, I am still waiting for many of the major changes in my body.  I am 9 1/4 squares of toilet paper around, so no major change again.  I did gain a little weight this week though, haha.  I am excited that there is only one more week until I am officially in my 2nd trimester.

These last few days have been full of rest as we have had 2 snow days now.  We ended up with around 9" of snow on Sunday night into Monday.  Now that we are nearing the 2nd trimester, it is probably start time to thinking about more of the details of having a baby - like daycare, where the baby will sleep, etc.  We also need to start researching for all the stuff we are going to need!!  Fun times still to come!  Luckily I am still feeling good, just the exhaustion still the only major issue.  My first week back at work was a struggle, but I made it and will continue to make it through!!

Too good to be true

Well I knew my "feeling like a human again" was too good to last.  Yesterday I actually felt like I had energy and I didn't just want to close my eyes and sleep the whole day.  Today, we are back to the closing the eyes and sleeping the whole day feeling.  Oh well, at least I had one energetic day!

Things are still going really well.  We are officially at 11 weeks and one day.  Only 13 more days until the start of the second trimester!  Everyone tells me the second trimester is the best.  Luckily for me the first trimester hasn't been that bad except for this extreme exhaustion, but I guess I should just get used to that!!

Baby Lake did graduate to the size of a lime yesterday!
