Beginning of Week 19 (18 weeks 0 days)

This past week included another visit to the Dr's office on Monday.  Dr said that everything looked great and when she put the dopplar on my belly we heard the heart beat first thing, baby isn't shy anymore!  My baby bump is definitely changing, even if it isn't really visible yet.  I can feel the top of my uterus just below my belly button!

I have been having a little bit of lower back pain that the Dr said was normal, but usually not this early.  She said it is more than likely caused from being on my feet all day and how my uterus is positioned.  Luckily it has been a lot better the last few days, so maybe the pain will go away for awhile.

We scheduled our 20 week sonogram for March 8 - remember we will not be finding out the gender of the baby, so don't bother asking!

The baby book said baby was learning to yawn this week and that his/her nervous is fully working now.  Crazy to think all this is happening in the confinement of my belly!

Beginning of Week 18 (17 weeks 0 days)

Missed my TP Tuesday post yesterday as my TP growth still has not changed, so I just decided to post today with my new picture.  Still no major baby bump, but maybe just a little bit there, lol.  I was at parent teacher conferences tonight, so I couldn't get home to take my normal picture with Jed, so Christine and I made do at school.  I did wear my first pair of maternity pants last week, not really because I needed to wear them but because I was tired of my own regular wardrobe.  People tell me I will tire of my maternity clothes too, but these pants won't fit long (they are a little small - that's what happens when you borrow every one else's maternity clothes, they aren't always the perfect size), so I needed to wear them while I could!

This week has been pretty good.  I have really started having nightmares in my sleep, and unfortunately I am a person that remembers my dreams.  People tell me pregnancy nightmares are normal, but I really do not enjoy them.

Head back to the doctor on Monday, so that is exciting!  Baby graduated to the size of a turnip today - not going to lie, I'm not that familiar with turnips, lol.  Baby books say that within the next few weeks the baby will be forming finger prints, that is crazy!

TP Tuesday - 15 weeks 6 days, end of week 16

Well, 9 1/4 squares again at the widest part of my belly, but I am definitely noticing more of a round effect in the whole belly rather than just one big pudge, haha!  For the first time today, my favorite pair of dress pants fit snug instead of loose like they had been!

Nothing else has really changed this week, no movement feelings yet, but they tell me I should probably start feeling Baby Lake with the next 3-5 weeks.  I am very excited for that!  The books say that the baby is holding daily aerobics classes that I will start feeling soon!

TP Tuesday - 14 weeks 6 days, end of week 15

Well, I grew 1/4 of a square this week, haha!  I am at 9 1/4 squares this week.  The exciting thing is that I am starting to look a little less like I'm fat and more like I'm pregnant!!  I am still wearing regular clothes, but I did have to start wearing a bella band with two pairs of my pants, haha.

Another snow day today, so it's been a day of relaxing, doing homework, and trying to organize the wonderful multitude of maternity clothes that friends and family have given me and let me borrow!!  It's almost a blizzard outside, so I am perfectly content sitting inside taking care of Baby Lake!

The baby book says that the bones in Baby Lake's ears are starting to form, which means that he/she is going to be able to hear what is going on outside my belly!  Guess that means Jed is going to have to start talking and reading to Baby Lake every day now!!

By the way - I have an absolutely amazing husband that is going to be a great dad!  Jed does so much for me and is always trying to make things better for me!
