Easter 2014

Ethan and I headed to Sharon Springs for Easter to join the rest of the Bolen clan.  We had an awesome time with an Easter egg hunt, dying Easter eggs, making rice krispie Easter eggs, hanging out with family, rides in the tractor, playing in the dirt and garden, and celebrating Easter with a wonderful church service!

Spring Break 2014

Spring Break 2014 was a very interesting spring break.  It started with my parents coming down to help organize the storage room.  Doug, Maleia, and the kids came down on Sunday.  Doug headed back on Sunday and Maleia and the kids headed back on Monday because Ben wasn't eating and she wanted to take him to the dr.  My parents, Ethan, and I headed to Sharon Springs for a few days.

Unfortunately, baby Ben kept getting worse and worse and on Friday we got word that he wasn't going to make it.  My parents headed back to Topeka from getting a car trailer in Texas to be with Ethan and Jed and I headed up to Omaha to be with the family.  Ben passed away on Friday night surrounded by his parents and a few family members at the young age of 3 1/2 months.  This was/is an incredibly sad time that none of us understand.  We headed back to Topeka Saturday evening, then back to Omaha on Tuesday evening for a Wednesday funeral.  The funeral was hard, but we did try to remind ourselves to enjoy the time with our family.  This whole experience made me stop and think about my priorities with my family and remind myself to always enjoy the moments I have.

February random

Not a lot happened in February excited for our babymoon to Oklahoma City. We had fun hanging out as a family!

Ethan loves playing in the snow and outside, so we tried to do that this month.  Unfortunately he is not the easiest to get inside, so we usually have an issue with that!

When Ethan woke up from his nap this day he asked if we were making breakfast, we said no and he was sad.  So, Jed decided we should make chicken and waffles for dinner.  When it was ready and Jed told Ethan what we were going to have, Ethan said, "That going to be perfecto!" while throwing his hands in the air!

Daddy was fixing something in the bathroom, so Ethan brought all his tools in and said he needed to "help Daddy work"!
